Income and Expenses

Add a row for every source of money coming in (a part-time job, student loans, help from family, scholarships or grants) and every cost going out (tuition, rent, food, transport, books, and anything else). Pick a category, give it a short label, and enter the amount.

Monthly vs. One-Time Amounts

For each row choose how often it happens. Per month is for recurring amounts like a paycheck, rent, or a bus pass. Once per semester is for lump sums like a tuition bill, a loan disbursement, or a textbook order. The planner spreads one-time amounts evenly across the months in your semester so every view stays consistent.

Monthly and Semester Views

Set how many months are in your semester, then toggle the view. The Monthly view shows the average amount for a single month; the Semester view multiplies everything out to the full term. Your net balance and the category bars update together so you can budget at whichever scale is easier to think about.

Net Balance

Net balance is total income minus total expenses for the selected view. A green surplus means you have money left over to save; a red shortfall means you are spending more than you bring in and should trim expenses or add income. The result is guidance based only on the numbers you enter.
